The surgical literature clearly shows that two important factors determine successful outcomes following surgery:
• Specialty training
• Volume of procedures performed

Colon Rectal Surgical Associates performs a greater volume of colon resection and anorectal surgery than any other group in the state of Maryland. Members of the group have been recognized by their peers as Top Doc’s in the field of Colon and Rectal Surgery. Additionally, members of the group consistently have shorter hospital lengths of stay, fewer returns to surgery and post operative complication rates when compared to both statewide and nationwide statistics.

The group has been identified as superior Laparoscopic Surgeons consistently performing between 200 and 300 laparoscopic colon resections each year. We conduct teaching seminars to teach other surgeons in the Mid-Atlantic region how to properly perform laparoscopic colon resections as well as the new PPH procedure when surgical management is required for treating hemorrhoids.
